Something fundamental has changed in search over the last two years. Users ask ChatGPT instead of Googling. They ask Perplexity what to buy. And in all of that AI-generated text: have you ever checked whether your business is actually being mentioned?

What is AI visibility?

AI visibility is the extent to which your brand, products, or content appear in answers generated by AI systems. That includes ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity AI, Microsoft Copilot, and Claude.

Why does it matter right now?

More than 40% of all informational searches globally now happen through AI systems. AI models develop preferences — they learn which sources are reliable. Those that establish themselves as authority sources now will have a lasting advantage.

The first 30 days

Week 1 — Map the baseline. Open ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google. Ask 10–15 questions a typical customer would ask. Note whether your brand is mentioned.

Week 2 — Technical foundation. Create an llms.txt. Verify that robots.txt does not block AI crawlers. Install FAQ schema.

Week 3 — Content. Write at least three pieces of content that directly answer the questions you identified.

Week 4 — EEAT. Update the About page. Add an author bio with a link to LinkedIn.
